This is my first ever blog post, (not sure of the lingo) I am excited to share my love of Miniature American Eskimo dogs and quilting. Sort of an odd combination but they are both passions of mine. If we had a larger house and a large piece of property I would have a huge sewing room and about 6 Eskies.

We got our first Eskie (Skye) in 1995 and we were blessed to have her for 13 years. We lost her this year in August to lymphoma cancer. Probably the hardest thing we've had to face. We got our 2nd Eskie, Pasha, in 1998 and she was a rescue from Heart Bandits. Pasha came with some baggage as she was from an abusive home. She has aggressive tendencies so that probably lead to some of the abuse. She has a big heart and although she doesn't like to cuddle and she doesn't do strangers very well, she is a joy in our lives. Skye and Pasha were sisters for 10 years and Pasha really feels the loss, as do we.

We added to The Pumpkin Patch in September, her name is Story. She is a great little girl and we look forward to many years with her. I have plans to enroll her in Dog Agility, so we are
working on the obedience training part to be able to begin with the local chapter when she is 8 months old or so.
